The Air Max 1 Gentleman is made from brown vegetable-tanned leather and lined with a soft corduroy featuring a floral pattern. The shoe includes various perforations: on the toe box, on the Swoosh, and along several patterns. The Swoosh also features a subtle serrated edge, and the logo on the tongue is finished with a brass stamp.

A special detail of this shoe can also be found on the inside. The lining is made from a corduroy fabric with a floral pattern. The fabric is predominantly dark blue and features flowers with pink dots woven throughout.

Veg-tanned leather

The shoe is made from vegetable-tanned leather. Unlike traditional leather, this is tanned using natural plant-based tannins from bark, leaves, and fruits, instead of chemicals commonly used in chrome tanning.
